We are very pleased to confirm that the developers have decided to withdraw the planning application for this huge development and we now can state that this current threat is now dead! The applicants cannot appeal to this action, as it was themselves who withdrew it.

This is very much a triumph for ‘People Power’ . Two years ago there was little or no interest to stop the proposed development and as such our area was classed as a ‘soft target’ fortunately James Lodge, Chair of Save our Villages had different ideas and formed a strong campaign which soon spread to other villages and gained massive support. Local and National politicians became involved and soon other groups such as Bletchley Park and Tony Mabbott of SC Residents action group joined the campaign. We were strong and gained national attention with TV and Radio and produced many hundreds of objections against the development which were sent to AVDC.
